ArcShot Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 27, 2026

Overview

ArcShot is a local Windows screenshot and annotation tool. ArcShot does not collect, upload, sell, or share personal information. No account, login, email address, or online service is required to use its core features.

Screenshots and Annotations

ArcShot can capture content displayed on your screen. Screenshots may contain personal or sensitive information depending on what is visible on your device.

Screenshots and annotations are processed locally on your device. ArcShot does not automatically upload them to any server.

Local Files and Settings

ArcShot may store local settings and user-created files on your device, including shortcut and appearance settings, saved images, editable .arc project files, and the PureRef application path when that integration is configured.

These files remain on your device unless you choose to copy, move, upload, or share them.

Clipboard

When you use a copy feature, ArcShot places the rendered screenshot on the Windows clipboard. Other applications may access clipboard content according to Windows behavior and your actions.

PureRef Integration

When you explicitly choose Send to PureRef, ArcShot transfers the rendered screenshot to PureRef through local clipboard and application automation. ArcShot does not control PureRef or any other third-party application.

Network Access

ArcShot does not require network access for its core screenshot and annotation features.

Children's Privacy

ArcShot is not designed to collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when ArcShot adds or changes features. The latest version will always be published on this page.
